Results

Patient results are not given out over the telephone by reception staff. They are not trained to interpret results or recommend treatment. Please book an appointment to see your doctor for your test results

Please book to see your doctor to discuss your results. You will receive an SMS when your results are ready.

For any urgent or abnormal test results your GP will call you, please make sure that we have your current contact details up to date.

Copies of your physical results can be requested when you see your doctor. We are unable to email results.

Management of Patient Health Information

Transfer of Medical Records:

If you wish to have your medical records transferred to a new practice from GPSC @ Midland Railway Workshops, you will need to complete a transfer form at your new surgery or request a transfer of release form at reception.  Please be aware that there will be a transfer fee to release your medical records.

For medical records to be transferred to GPSC @ Midland Railway Workshops you will need to complete a transfer form of medical records at your previous medical practice, please be aware that there could be a transfer fee and medical records might not be released until the transfer fee has been paid. Management of Your Personal Health Record Your medical record is a confidential document.  It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of GPSC @ Midland Railway Workshops.

Interpreter Service

GPSC @ Midland Railway Workshops is a registered user of the National Translating and Interpreter Service (TIS). Please let our reception staff know at time of booking your appointment if you require an interpreter.

Drugs of Addiction

S8 drugs of addiction will not be prescriber by any GP at GPSC for any new patient.

After Hours Care

Dial a doctor for home visits is available for our patients outside our practice hours. Please call 1300 030 030

Home Visits Policy

This will be at the discretion of our GP’s, please speak to your regular GP for any queries.

How Do I speak to my GP?

Your doctor will try to take your call but doctors can be extremely busy throughout the day so they may not be able to take your call, our nursing team may be able assist with your enquiry, If the nurse is not able to assist you the nurse will take your details and speak with the doctor.

Reminders / Recalls

GPSC @ Midland Railway Workshops may contact you through SMS, phone or letter regarding your results, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, follow up appointments. To ensure that we can contact you about your results, appointments, preventative healthcare vaccinations, please advise our reception team if you would like to either opt in or opt our to receive SMS communications.  Please make sure that we have your current contact details on our records.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel your appointment with at least 4 hours’ notice or a “did not attend” fee plus GST will be charged and payable prior to your next visit.  There will be a full consultation fee for missed appointments.  If you are running late, please contact reception to see whether it is possible to fit you in or arrange another suitable time.  Staff will do there best to help you and accommodate your needs.

Medical Certificates

Patients must make an appointment to get a medical certificate and, we regret they cannot be backdated.

Do you offer telehealth consultations

Yes, we offer telehealth consultations for eligible patients Monday to Friday.
No telehealth consultations are available on the weekend.
